Dee Goes to the Beach
Dee packed her bag and prepared for a trip
to Hilton Head Island with her girlfriends, BJ, Cathy, MaryHo, Beth, JeRie, MaryMo,
Kitsie, Karla, MaryJane and Angel. BJ planned to drive the girls to Hilton Head
Island in the RV while Dee served cocktails and snacks. Unfortunately, as the
captain was doing the preflight inspection, she discovered a flat tire.
Undaunted, Dee helped the girls repack their
luggage into two smaller vehicles and they traveled in a caravan. They made a couple
of stops so Dee and her co-flight attendant, Mary, could serve cocktails and snacks.
There was no place for Dee to sit, so she relaxed in the galley during the trip.
Exhausted from the trip, Dee made herself
comfortable in the plush accomodations at the Crowne Plaza. After a few minutes of
rest, she got the galley set up.
Dee and the other girls headed out for a
walk on the beach. Dee made herself home at the elaborate sandcastle she found.
She even went skinny dipping in the moat.
Dee waded in the surf with the other girls,
then they all posed for a group picture.
Karla helped Dee rinse the sand off of her
feet and then Dee and BJ took a short nap in a hammock.
Dee and the girls took advantage of the
half-price appetizer specials during Happy Hour.
Dee wanted to dance to the tunes the DJ was
spinning, so she cut in on one of the couples on the dance floor. She was enjoying
the dance when the woman she cut in on snatched her out of the man's hand and handed her
to BJ. Dee decided to just dance with the girls after that.
Dee posed in the fountain in front of the
hotel while she waited for Angel and Mary Jane to arrive.
They were late because they had stopped to have a pedicure on the way.
By the end of the evening the galley was a
mess and Dee was in no shape to clean it up!
Saturday morning, she got up early to do her
hair, but didn't feel like going to the beach or the golf course with the other girls.
Dee would have made a tasty snack for this
alligator on the golf course!
Dee really enjoyed her trip to the Beach!
She is looking forward to traveling with these girls again!
